Argentina Exempts Children’s Picture and Colouring Books from Heavy Metal Certification

Argentina has exempted children’s picture, drawing and colouring books and albums classified under heading 4903 as well as newspapers, journals and periodicals, whether or not illustrated or containing advertising material, classified under subheading 4902.90, from the heavy metal certification requirements of Resolution 453/2010 and Resolution 685/2015. However, importers of children’s picture, drawing and colouring books and albums must still provide a sworn certification with such information as a description of the product and its tariff classification, number of imported units, country of origin, and importer’s name and address.
