Argentina Bans Imports of Malathion for Therapeutic Use

Argentina has banned the importation, sale and use of malathion as a therapeutic agent for the control of human diseases. Widely employed in agriculture, malathion is also used in the treatment of head and body lice. In July 2017, Argentina banned the free sale of household disinfestation products containing the active substance dichlorvos, as well as the free and professional sale of household disinfestation products containing the active substance malathion.
