PHILIPPINES: High-Sugar Content Drinks to Carry Mandatory Health Warnings

The potential health risks of sugar-sweetened/energy drinks are to be highlighted on all relevant product labelling. The new directive, implemented at the personal behest of Rodrigo Duterte, the Philippine President, will come into effect within two months and follows an earlier move to increase the tax payable on all products with a high-sugar content.
