CAMBODIA: Tax Registration of FDI-backed Businesses Now Also Possible Via Investment Agency

FDI-backed businesses now have the added option of tax registration at a dedicated service desk set up at the Phnom Penh headquarters of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), the Cambodian government’s main investment promotion and facilitation agency.

Concerned foreign investors will be freed from the need to visit the General Department of Taxation (GDT) in Phnom Penh for tax registration purposes as is currently required of all businesses. To be staffed by GDT officials, the tax desk at the CDC’s offices will provide tax registration services to foreign investors every Wednesday from 08.00 hours to 16.45 hours.
