CAMBODIA: Export/Import Port Inspection Regime Further Streamlined

Export and import goods are no longer to be subjected to port inspection by the Kampuchea Shipping Agency and Brokers, a state-managed freight forwarding agency. In future, as part of government moves to streamline trade flows, such items will only be required to undergo a statutory inspection by the customs department. The ruling follows an earlier decision to suspend border inspection by Camcontrol, the Ministry of Commerce’s fraud prevention agency.
